Einsteinium is seventh transuranium element in actinides discovered by Albert Einstein. Let us focus on the industries where it is used.
Einsteinium is used in two industries such as:
- Chemical industry
- Research industry
Chemical industry
- Einsteinium is used in studying radiation damage in chemical reactions.
- The facts about radioactive decay are identified by Einsteinium.
- The production of Mendelevium is target irradiation of 254Es.
Research industry
- Einsteinium helps in the research on production of higher transuranium elements and massive solid elements.
- Es isotope (254Es) is used in chemical analysis spectrometer as calibration marker.
Conclusion
There is no known commercial use of Einsteinium element which is heavy actinide metal in the periodic table. The application of this element is limited within the research field. The isotopes of Es are known for their bulky appearance and inactive nature in industries.
